Stage 8 leads from Leiwen to Neumagen-Dhron (14.0 km), stage 9 from Neumagen-Dhron to Kesten/Osann-Monzel (18 km), stage 10 from Kesten/Osann-Monzel to Bernkastel-Kues (14.7 km), stage 11 from Bernkastel-Kues to Ürzig (17 km) and stage 12 from Ürzig to Traben-Trarbach (15 km).

The Moselsteig Side Trails are circular hiking trails that complement the main Moselsteig Trail. The Moselle-Camino is a 160-kilometre-long long-distance hiking trail between Koblenz-Stolzenfels and Trier and is part of the Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela. The Moselle Camino runs partly parallel to the Moselsteig Trail through the impressive landscape with spiritual places, historical buildings and cultural sights along the Moselle. Stages 5 and 6 take hikers through the Bernkastel-Kues holiday region.
