📍 Location: Historic old town of Bernkastel-Kues - the parade leads through the alleyways, over the Moselle bridge and to the forum square in Kues.
The 2026 carnival parade in Bernkastel-Kues is a highlight of the carnival season in the Middle Moselle region and attracts many visitors from the region and beyond. Numerous creative and colorful floats, foot groups and costumes create a carnival atmosphere in the old town. Many groups from the region take part with themed floats, music and humor. Traditionally, the parade is an atmospheric highlight of the fifth season in Bernkastel-Kues.
The celebrations continue immediately after the parade: there is a popular after-parade party with live music and DJs. Well-known acts such as 2 Engel & Charlie and DJ EL1AS provide music and a party atmosphere well into the night.
Book off! The reading weekend in Bernkastel-Kues
From March 13-15, 2026, everything in Bernkastel-Kues will revolve around books, stories and big names in literature. At the second "Book off!" reading weekend, visitors can look forward to five readings over three days in special locations in the town.
Carsten Henn, Arno Strobel and Horst Eckert will be there. There are also special readings for children and young people. A weekend for everyone who loves literature - book off!
