The Moselsteig Trail is 365 kilometers long in total. It runs along the entire length of the German Moselle from Perl on the German-French-Luxembourg border to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz , making it one of the most varied long-distance hiking trails in Germany.
The route of the Moselsteig Trail is divided into 24 stages. These 11 to 24 kilometer long sections lead through vineyards and forests, along the Moselle and steep rocky slopes, down in the river valley and up on the Moselle terraces. There are always breathtaking views of the Moselle valley. Questions such as: "Where is the Moselsteig Trail most beautiful? What are the most beautiful stages on the Moselsteig Trail?" there is therefore no clear answer. This is because each section of the river and each stage has its own individual landscape features, highlights and Moselle villages. On a detour into the beautiful Hunsrück region, you can explore a completely new backdrop with fantastic views from the Kirchspiel's Tälertour side trip. The Klüsserather Legend Trail near Neumagen-Dhron impresses with a magnificent view of the Moselle valley and romantic paths through the vineyards. Two historic Moselle towns in one, Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trarbach, can be found on the Moselle Valley Schanzen trail.
