Hiking on the Moselsteig Trail

The Moselsteig Trail is 365 kilometers long in total. It runs along the entire length of the German Moselle from Perl on the German-French-Luxembourg border to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz , making it one of the most varied long-distance hiking trails in Germany.

The route of the Moselsteig Trail is divided into 24 stages. These 11 to 24 kilometer long sections lead through vineyards and forests, along the Moselle and steep rocky slopes, down in the river valley and up on the Moselle terraces. There are always breathtaking views of the Moselle valley. Questions such as: "Where is the Moselsteig Trail most beautiful? Five Moselsteig Trail stages run through the Bernkastel-Kues vacation region. From Leiwen on the Roman Wine Route on stage 8 to the first town in the Bernkastel-Kues vacation region, Neumagen-Dhron with its Roman wine ship "Stella Noviomagi". Downstream, stage 9 leads through meadows, forests and vineyards to Osann-Monzel, before stage 10 makes its way to Bernkastel-Kues. Via stage 11 to Ürzig, stage 12 leads from the vacation region to the Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach.
