Days
Wine tasting
Total distance: approx. 60 kilometers
Difficulty level: medium
Day 1: Individual journey to Bernkastel-Kues
Ideally, you should arrive in your own car. During the day, you should plan enough time to discover the medieval wine trading metropolis of Bernkastel-Kues. A boat trip on the Moselle or a short detour to Landshut Castle will get you in the mood for the hiking tours ahead.
Day 2: from Bernkastel-Kues to Ürzig "The Cistercians and the wine" (Moselsteig Trail stage 11)
Length: 17 km, difficulty: medium
From Bernkastel-Kues, the Moselsteig Trail leads you to fantastic views along the edge of the slope. Only in Zeltingen-Rachtig do you come into contact with viticulture, which was once significantly developed in Machern Monastery, a former monastery estate dating back to the 12th century. After a short stopover, you reach Ürzig, your destination for today.
Day 3: from Ürzig to Traben-Trarbach "On the paths of the Sun King" (Moselsteig Trail stage 12)
Length: 15.1 km, difficulty: medium
The rather leisurely stage to Traben-Trarbach presents itself with a variety of landscape impressions. Woods and copses alternate with meadows and vineyards and you come into contact with slate again and again. At the end, you will be walking on historic ground, as a proud fortress once stood enthroned on Mont Royal in Traben-Trarbach.
Day 4: from Traben-Trarbach to Reil "On the trail of the Sponheimers" (Moselsteig Trail stage 13)
Length: 15.2 km, Difficulty: demanding
Today's stage begins with a cultural treat, the Grevenburg. The ruins invite you to travel back in time to the Middle Ages and from up here you can overlook the entire town and the bend in the river amidst historic walls. The route continues along wonderful paths along the edge of the slope to Enkirch. From there, you take a stroll through the vineyards until you cross the Moselle again in Reil and reach your stage destination.
Day 5: from Reil to Zell "In the territory of the Black Cat" (Moselsteig Trail stage 14)
Length: 12.8 km, difficulty: medium
Today you explore the headland of Barl, the "Zeller Hamm", from Reil. You follow the tracks of the old cannon railroad. From the Prinzenkopf, you can enjoy the Moselle several times before continuing through vineyards and varied woodland to the home of the "Zeller Schwarzer Katz".

The programs run from Easter to the end of October. Different travel periods are listed separately in the offer. Bookings are possible all year round.

The insurance is taken out when you pay the premium when booking the trip, but no later than 30 days before the scheduled departure date. If the booking is made within 30 days before the start of the trip, the insurance can only be taken out on the day of booking, at the latest within the next 3 working days.
