Moselsteig Trail from Perl to Trier - stages 1 to 4
On the first four stages of the Moselsteig quality hiking trail, you will be rewarded with sweeping views as far as Luxembourg and France.
The first four stages of the Moselsteig Trail impress with the openness of the landscape. The starting point is Perl in the border triangle of Germany, France and Luxembourg. From here, you will be rewarded with sweeping views as far as Luxembourg and France. Views that stand in delightful contrast to the numerous vineyards and wooded hills.
Total distance: approx. 84 kilometers
Difficulty level: medium
Day 1: Individual journey to Perl
You travel individually to Perl. Take enough time to get to know the border triangle with its many historical, cultural and natural sights.
Day 2: from Perl to Palzem "Kick-off in the border triangle" (Moselsteig Trail stage 1)
Length: 23.2 km, difficulty: very demanding
Right at the start, the Moselsteig Trail presents its enormous variety: at the start on the banks of the Moselle, you discover the first vineyards before you can experience extensive forest and meadow passages with fabulous views. At the stage finish in Palzem, you reach the Moselle again.
Day 3: from Palzem to Nittel "Heavenly views" (Moselsteig Trail stage 2)
Length: 14.8 km, Difficulty: demanding
Variety is the name of the game today, as you are accompanied by a colorful array of vineyards, meadows and forests. The Moselsteig Trail also takes you to numerous chapels along the way, so that you can enjoy the best views before arriving back at the Moselle.
Day 4: from Nittel to Konz "Rendezvous with the Saar and Moselle" (Moselsteig Trail stage 3)
Length: 21.6 km, difficulty: very demanding
Towering cliffs, rolling fields, majestic forests and a real idyll on the Albach: this stage offers a rich repertoire of landscapes. You also pay a visit to the Saar before arriving in Konz, back on the Moselle.
Day 5: from Konz to Trier "Journey to the Romans" (Moselsteig Trail stage 4)
Length: 17.9 km, Difficulty: demanding
Today you span the arc from the Saar over the Moselle to the oldest city in Germany: Trier. The Moselsteig Trail takes you across the river for the first time and lets you experience rolling meadows and magnificent indoor forest. You then head to the edge of the slope, where Trier lies at your feet.
Day 6: individual departure from Trier
Your hiking tour on the Moselsteig Trail ends after breakfast. You can organize your departure individually or take advantage of our convenient return transfer service, which will take you back to your starting point. Prior booking is required.
