Day 2: from Trier to Schweich "Under the spell of the best views" (Moselsteig Trail stage 5)
    Length: 17 km, difficulty: medium
From the Roman city of Trier, the Moselsteig Trail leads you down the Moselle on a breathtaking rocky path, mostly directly along the edge of the slope. Spectacular views over the wide Moselle landscape accompany the first part of the tour, which then reveals wonderful forest passages. Your destination for the day is Schweich, the gateway to the "Roman Wine Route".

Day 3: from Schweich to Mehring "A toast to the Huxlay" (Moselsteig Trail stage 6)
    Length: 12.2 km, difficulty: easy
Short but sweet - this motto aptly describes the potential of this stage from Schweich to Mehring. The ascent to Mehringer Berg requires a good level of fitness, but at the top there is an idyllic meadow landscape in a class of its own. The grandiose highlight is the health park on the Huxlay plateau - you won't want to leave.

Day 4: from Mehring to Leiwen "Summit assault in the Moselle slate" (Moselsteig Trail stage 7)
    Length: 13.5 km, difficulty: difficult
Stamina is required today. Today's Moselsteig Trail stage takes you through Mehringer Schweiz, where you get up close and personal with the Moselle slate on a challenging route. Afterwards, you will be delighted by quiet forest passages and magnificent views over the Moselle with its vineyards before arriving in Leiwen.

Day 5: from Leiwen to Neumagen-Dhron "Long-distance viewing with the Romans" (Moselsteig Trail stage 8)
    Length: 12.7 km, difficulty: easy
Panoramic television" is the order of the day today. The very first ascent to Zummet offers breathtaking views of Leiwen, the wine landscape and the Moselle. But this program continues. You can admire the Moselle arch in Trittenheim and travel back in time to the Romans in Neumagen-Dhron.

Day 6: from Neumagen-Dhron to Kesten/Osann-Monzel "In the name of the vine" (Moselsteig Trail stage 9)
    Length: 17.4 km, difficulty: medium
Today your hike on the Moselsteig Trail is all about the vine. Again and again you hike through extensive vineyards, which cover almost the entire slope of this section of the Moselle. Fantastic views and a Roman sour well are among the highlights of today's wine hike.

Day 7: from Kesten/Osann-Monzel - Bernkastel-Kues "From the Romans to the Knights" (Moselsteig Trail stage 10)
    Length: 14.3 km, difficulty: medium
Today you take a leap back in time from the Romans to the knights, as the first Moselle castle, Landshut Castle, awaits you in Bernkastel-Kues. Before that, you will experience steep vineyards and dreamy forest idylls and you will once again be spoiled with wonderful panoramic views over a unique Moselle landscape.

We are happy to organize your personal family trip. To do this, we need precise details when you book, such as the desired room layout and the age of the children.

    Traveling with dogs
