The Moselle bridges make it possible to cross the river again and again and most of the Moselle cycle path can be cycled on both banks and is signposted. The circular tour starts in Bernkastel-Kues and leads steeply up into the vineyards to the Moselle village of Lösnich. Take short breaks in between and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views over the Moselle valley! The route back to Bernkastel-Kues then takes you back along the banks of the Moselle.

Particularly suitable for sporty touring cyclists and e-bikers
The tour starts from Bernkastel-Kues and leads steeply through the vineyards over the Hunsrück heights. After wonderful views of the Moselle valley, the route descends again to Wolf. From this district of Traben-Trarbach, the cycle tour takes you back along the Moselle cycle path to Bernkastel-Kues.

Demanding tour for mountain bikers
The mountain bike tour takes you from Bernkastel-Kues uphill through the vineyards over the Hunsrück heights to the start of the Ameisentrail with 23 hairpin bends. On the technically challenging single trail, you cycle downhill into the Kautenbach valley towards Traben-Trarbach and back up again on the Förster-Schell trail towards Bernkastel-Kues.
Moselle Cycle Route Stage 6: From Bernkastel-Kues to Traben-Trarbach
22.4 km - 1.5 hours - easy
Well suited for touring cyclists
The cycle tour leads along the Moselle cycle path from Bernkastel-Kues through wine villages such as Zeltingen-Rachtig, Erden and Lösnich to the art nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach. You and your bike can return to Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle Valley cycle bus - line 360. The return journey on one of the Moselle shipping lines is particularly beautiful.
Tip: If you want to cycle more kilometers, you can use the Moselle bridge in Traben-Trabach and cycle back on the other side of the Moselle.
Moselle Cycle Route Stage 5: From Piesport to Bernkastel-Kues
18.3 km - 1.5 hours - easy
Well suited for touring cyclists
The starting point of the day tour is in Piesport, which you can easily reach with the Moseltal - Linien Mittelmosel cycle bus . The Moselle cycle path leads along the right bank of the Moselle with a view of the Moselloreley to Bernkastel-Kues.
Our tip: If you want to cycle more kilometers, you can start in Bernkastel-Kues on the Moselle cycle path and use the Moselle bridge in Piesport to cycle back on the other side of the river.
