Directions
The tour must be driven in a clockwise direction, as described here. From Bernkastel, the tour leads you uphill through the vineyards, past the "Waldschenke mit Herz", up to the Bernkastel plateau and the viewpoint "Maria Zill". From here you have a great view of the Moselle valley with Bernkastel-Kues. On a flat route you cross the plateau until you reach the start of the ant trail. On this single trail you ride (technically demanding) down into the Kautenbachtal valley towards the Moselle thermal bath in Trarbach. Steadily ascending, you work your way back up the slopes of the Kautenbach Valley to the plateau. After a short flat stretch you now descend on the Förster-Schell-Trail towards Bernkastel and Kallenfelstal, which you cross with the help of a small bridge. If you would like to shorten or break off the tour here, you can now roll down the Kallenfelstal valley to Bernkastel. For all others, the route now leads - with easy up- and downhills - above Bernkastel to the hiking car park "Bärenhalde". Immediately before the small car park you have to cross the B50. From now on you work your way up to the Olympus again, steadily ascending. The mountain above Bernkastel offers again a great view over Bernkastel-Kues and the Moselle. On a single trail, you now descend again to the car park of the former Bernkastel-Kues youth hostel. Now you climb up to Wilhelmshöhe and from there to the Andeler Refuge. There you will again be offered the finest Moselle panorama. Enjoy the view - and then join the next trail. Once again through the beautiful forest, before you roll down into the Moselle valley and Bernkastel on fun trails, past the St. Anna Chapel.Public transit
