Zeltingen-Rachtig

Welcome to the sunniest part of the Middle Moselle - a wine landscape to fall in love with! More than 1,000 guest beds in hotels, restaurants, guesthouses and private rooms are available for vacationers and guests. Many beautiful and varied hiking trails start in Zeltingen-Rachtig, such as the "Deutschherrenweg" on the mountain, the Weinlagenweg through the Himmelreich, Schloßberg and Sonnenuhr vineyards and the cultural trail "Von Kurköln zu den Deutschherren". The excellent Moselsteig Trail crosses the Moselle at Zeltingen-Rachtig, resulting in two beautiful partial stages: to Bernkastel-Kues and to Ürzig. You can then return on a scheduled Moselle boat trip.

Good connection - good choice
Zeltingen is an ideal starting point for cyclists looking for beautiful routes - also because of the RadBus bus stop to Bullay, Trier and Daun. There are plenty of free parking spaces for cars along the Moselle, in the direction of the minigolf course. The White Fleet boats also stop here, bringing cyclists and others back to Zeltingen-Rachtig in comfort. If you are traveling by e-bike, you can charge your battery at the old weighbridge (opposite Uferallee 14) in Zeltingen and in front of the "Old Schoolhouse" (Georgstr.) in Rachtig. There are also more leisurely options - a walk along the cultural trail "From Kurköln to the Deutschherren", a short hike to the Sortengarten, an orchard in the middle of the vineyards, a game on the mini-golf course on the banks of the Moselle or simply sitting by the Moselle and letting time and ships pass by. The varied gastronomy invites you to discover the culinary delights of the village: whether a rustic winegrower's platter, regional cuisine with matching wines, a multi-course gourmet menu, coffee and delicious cakes. Whether on a terrace with a view of the Moselle, a romantic spot in the town center or in the courtyard of a winery.
