Merovingians, Napoleon, the Counts of Veldenz: many illustrious personalities have stopped off in Mülheim an der Mosel. The reason is simple: the wine village has everything to offer that makes a vacation on the Moselle so attractive.
Mülheim an der Mosel, with around 1,000 inhabitants, is idyllically situated amidst vineyards, forests and meadows at the mouth of 2 streams and on the Moselle (115 m above sea level) at the foot of a circular mountain. The same is surrounded by a cut-off wide glacial valley of the Moselle. The narrow hill is planted with vines all around. Mülheim an der Mosel has always been a center of trade and commerce. Even today there are well-known commercial enterprises, especially in a separate industrial estate. There are jobs for around 750 employees. Mülheim has a good infrastructure, which also serves tourism, such as a petrol station, doctors, dentist, pharmacy, butcher and supermarket.
