Our winery Hugo Hower is located in the wine village of Lieser on the mosel, right next to Bernkastel-Kues. It has been family-owned since 1684 and traditionally bears the name of the grandfather "Hugo Hower".

Tradition, craftsmanship, and modern wine culture – this is what the family-run winery Hugo Hower in Lieser near Bernkastel-Kues has stood for for generations.
Our vineyards are located in the sunny steep slopes of the Moselle, including the renowned site of Lieserer Niederberg-Helden. With a lot of manual work and a fine sense for terroir, elegant, characterful Moselle wines are created here – foremost our Rieslings.
Today, the winery is passionately managed by winemaker Stefan Loersch and young winemaker and daughter Eva-Maria Loersch. Together with the family, authentic wines are created that connect origin, enjoyment, and the feel of the Moselle.
Since 2023, our modernly designed vinotheque invites you to experience wine on the Moselle in a relaxed manner: at table wine tastings, with small delicacies from the winemaker's kitchen of mother Jutta Loersch, special events, or a cozy glass of wine in a stylish atmosphere.
Experience truly special Moselle moments during the wine tours "Wine Tasting Walk" with daughter and nature experience guide Katharina Loersch or young winemaker Eva-Maria. You can enjoy regional moments of pleasure with the wine picnic package during your own wine hike through the vineyards.
