Wanderlust - regional delicacies - exploration of the Moselle Valley with our hiking routes

Enjoy the Moselle region around the wine village of Lieser through our self-designed and digitized favorite hiking routes. At beautiful wine viewpoints in the vineyards, you can briefly escape everyday life and recharge with our regionally curated picnic package. Along the way, you can expect interesting information about wine cultivation and the Moselle region.

Start/End: Winery Hugo Hower, Moselstraße 42-43, 54470 Lieser

“Howers Wine Picnic Package” is bookable for 2 people or more. In groups of 4 or more, it is a special experience.

We are happy to put together a suitable package for your children! In Lieser, there is a family hiking trail available! (Lieser Circular Trail Wine Diversity | 3.6 km | including quiz & information boards). Feel free to ask us for more information.

Cancellations are possible free of charge up to 3 days before the event date.

For cancellations between 3 and 1 day before the event date, a cancellation fee of 50% will be charged.

For cancellations from 1 day before the event date, a cancellation fee of 100% will be charged.

Cooling backpack available for rent (30 € deposit in cash).

The difficulty of the hike is dependent on the chosen hiking route.

“Rosenlay loop” 5.1 km (approx. 1.5 h)
“Hero hike” 7.0 km (approx. 2.5 h)
“Moraine valley meets Liesertal” 10.0 |12.0 km (approx. 3.5 - 4.0 h)
“Ruff un road with the lizard” 17.2 km (approx. 4.5 – 5.0 h)

Please bring sturdy footwear and one or two backpacks.

After your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation via email with the exact payment information.

Registration: March – October at least 24 hours before the hike.

2 bottles of Hower wine of your choice
2 Hower wine glasses (Schott & Wiesel)
2 Hower glass holders (in collaboration with the DRK and Social Work BKS)
1 bottle of mineral water
Cheese (Demeter farm Breit, Wittlich-Eifel / Bornwiesenhof, Wilzenberg-Hußweiler-Hunsrück)
Cold cuts (butcher Sopp, Lieser)
Root bread (bakery Fleury, Brauneberg)
One of Hower's favorite hiking routes (in paper form and digital)

Select from our four hiking routes of various difficulties and lengths and let us know your preferred route when booking: “Rosenlayrundweg” 5.1 km (approx. 1.5 h) “Heldenwanderung” 7.0 km (approx. 2.5 h) “Urstromtal meets Liesertal“ 10.0 | 12.0 km (approx. 3.5 - 4.0 h) “Ruff un roaf mit der Eidechs” 17.2 km (approx. 4.5 – 5.0 h) - Small info boards await you on our hiking routes.

The wine glasses and glass holders can be taken home as souvenirs.
