From the zero point to the turning point and beyond to the present
Literature course with Prof. Dr. Werner Jung
Using audio, visual, and film material, this course provides an overview of the history of German literature from the end of World War II in 1945 to the Wende of 1989, and then – in a second part – to the present day. Relevant authors and texts are repeatedly referenced, which have paradigm-making significance for the political, social, and cultural-artistic development of Germany and illustrate the various stages (keywords like Zero Point, Group 47, New Subjectivity, and Postmodernism) in a comprehensible and vivid way.
