Moselle vacation on the Moselle and Goldbach

Lush green Moselle meadows, bright red poppy meadows, sunny vineyards and wooded hills: Andel offers cyclists and hikers the perfect setting for their leisure activities. The varied Golbach Valley High Trail is one of the most popular hikes in the region. Inline skating right next to the Moselle, paddling along the banks in a canoe or a trip by seaplane: the Andel district is ideal for active and sporty holidaymakers.

Hiking on golden paths
In Andel, the Goldbach babbles through an almost primeval forest landscape. Small gold nuggets have repeatedly been found in the clear water here. A relaxing walk here is still worthwhile today - even if gold finds are no longer likely.... The gold digger's well in the village center is a worthwhile testimony to the Andel gold rush. It is no coincidence that the most famous vineyard is called Andeler Goldschatz.
The 12th century church commemorates seven hard-working Andel citizens who single-handedly erected this building. Even oak beams weighing up to ten hundredweight were not too bulky for them to use in the tower and belfry. The most recent example of Andel's pioneering spirit is the only Moselle lighthouse, which has adorned the banks of the Moselle since 2004.
