Weingut
Winery Reef
Osann-Monzel
The family has been growing wine in the region since 1773. Today, they attach great importance to environmentally friendly and sustainable winegrowing.
The Reef family was first mentioned in the autumn and harvest register of the Counts of Manderscheid-Blankenheim in 1773.
For several generations, the family's winegrowing has been carried on. Most recently by Master Winemaker Bernhard Reef and his son Matthias, all in line with the motto: Wine grows in the vineyard.
The winery places great value on traditional viticulture.
This results in wine production that is particularly gentle, careful, and natural, as winemaking can only occur in harmony with nature. The protection of our ecosystem is especially important. Therefore, we only fertilize our vineyards when necessary and focus on a diverse greenery in our vineyards.
Another factor contributing to the success of our wines is the use of a lot of handwork, a strict limitation on quantity, as well as a selective harvest of healthy and ripe grapes.
