Directions
You start, for example, at the Villa Romana in Veldenz and hike via the Veldenzer Hammer residential area to the district of Thalveldenz, above which the Veldenz Castle is enthroned. The hiking route leads you through the village. After a short stretch along the Thälerbach stream, the trail then follows a serpentine forest path up to the Gornhausener Höhe. Here, at an altitude of around 450 metres, a refreshing breeze always blows. There is a great view of the Moselle valley and the Eifel region. Through the small village, the hiking trail leads you past the Barbelley viewing rock down along the Herrenbach stream to the Klaramühle mill. From there you walk along the Frohnbach stream to Hirzlei. Over a beautiful meadow path you will reach Burgen, a village which is often called "Little Venice" because of its many bridges. In Burgen you cross the Frohnbach and then walk slightly uphill below the edge of the forest back to Veldenz.Public transit
