Winery J. Faber

Minheim

My great-grandfather Jakob Faber acquired in 1908 shortly before the 1st World War some parcels of good wine country and built our today's winery in a peripheral location of Minheim. My grandfather Ernst and my father Ernst Faber managed the winery until 2004, when I took over in the 4th generation.

Before the first world war started in 1908 my great grandfather Jakob Faber earned some lots of good wineland. On the outskirts of Minheim he builded our winery. My grandfather Ernst and my father Ernst Faber leaded the winery until 2004. I then took over the winery in the forth generation. The once small and contemplative establishment became a modern leading winegrowing establishment with 9,6 hectares and a yearly production of 75.000 bottles.
Besides our house vineyard location ''Minheimer Rosenberg'' we now also grow wine in the vineyards ''Piesporter Goldtröpfchen'', ''Piesporter Michelsberg'', ''Neumagener Rosengarten'' and ''Dhroner Hofberg''. The proporation of steep vineyards is about 70 percent.
