Wine Bistro and Cafe Kloster Machern

The wine bistro with monastery café and ice café can be found by vacationers at the Machern Monastery at the Zeltinger Bridge, directly on the Moselle.

The wine bistro has a lot to offer. Cozy in the monastery courtyard, enjoy the daily happenings and the monastery park. Here you will be pampered with coffee specialties, cakes, Italian ice cream, traditional evening meals, and of course, freshly tapped beer from the monastery brewery. Groups also feel at home in the historical rooms dressed in modern attire.

The roundabout in Zeltingen-Rachtig is currently being renovated (expected until 31.08.2023). Access to Kloster Machern is still possible without any problems, namely as follows:

•From the direction of Kues: Simply follow the Kues side of the Mosel

•From Bernkastel:
a) To the Wehlener Bridge, after crossing it, turn left towards the exit of Wehlen (thus towards Kues) and at the bypass road turn right again towards Kloster Machern / Ürzig / Traben.
b) To Zeltingen, continue to Lösnicher Bridge, cross it and then return (upstream) to Kloster Machern.
