The Erbeskopf is the ideal starting point for a visit to the national park with many wonderful experiences.

At 816 metres, the Erbeskopf is the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate and a popular excursion destination in the Hunsrück. Throughout the year, the Erbeskopf offers a wide range of experiences for tourists.
In winter, the Erbeskopf is transformed into a winter sports paradise with ski slopes, cross-country ski trails and a toboggan run. A modern snowmaking system ensures optimum snow conditions.
In summer, the Erbeskopf is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and Nordic walking. The summit with the ‘Windklang’ viewing platform offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding forests and valleys.
For the adventurous, there is a climbing park that offers various courses of different levels of difficulty. A summer toboggan run also offers fast-paced fun.
A special highlight is the Hunsrückhaus, a visitor centre with interesting exhibitions on the nature and culture of the region. Numerous guided tours and workshops also start here.
