Raclette & Mosel wine – an evening full of enjoyment
Homemade raclette on the terrace of the Birnfeld winery, with wines from our own cultivation and a view of the steep slope
Eating becomes an experience: At the raclette, each guest assembles their pan entirely to their own taste. This results in unusual combinations, lots of laughter, and a shared moment of enjoyment that connects everyone. Whether as a couple, with friends, or in a colleague group: Here, raclette becomes a sociable evening where you can enjoy together and meet new people.
Special tables with hot plates and large pans, where you can prepare your raclette yourself, make the evening a special experience. Each table becomes a common focal point where cooking, tasting, and laughing together happens.
The evening takes place on the terrace of the Birnfeld winery, directly below one of our steep slopes. You enjoy your wine against an impressive vineyard backdrop, at the raclette tables with standing and seating options. Drinks are included in the price, and you can leisurely decide what you like.
On the terrace, a diverse selection of wines from the Birnfeld winery awaits you, from Mosel Riesling to Blanc de Noir to Rotling. Of course, there are also non-alcoholic beverages like grape juice and water. You simply decide for yourself what we can serve you, so there is something for every taste.
Winemaker Jan Birnfeld and cheese sommelier Wolfgang Fusenig are there for you all evening. Those who wish can ask questions about wine production or about the cheese varieties. Those who just want to enjoy are equally welcome.
You can expect a large selection of regional ingredients: four selected cheese varieties from farm and country dairies in the greater region, four types of meat from regional farms, vegetable and fruit varieties, and a selection of spices. You can prepare your pans as often as you like.
The evening is made for laughter, enjoyment, and good conversations.

Cancellations are possible free of charge up to 7 days before the event date.
In case of cancellation less than 7 days before the event date, a cancellation fee of 100% will apply.
The raclette experience takes place in 2027 on three selected dates. One of them is June 11, 2027. This evening also marks the beginning of our summer harvest festival. The festival traditionally kicks off on Fridays with a tasting event with limited seating. On the following two days, the winery, wine shop, wine cellar, and estate courtyard will be open to everyone. You can expect a diverse program, delicious food, musical entertainment, and a bouncy castle for the little guests.
Combine your raclette evening with a visit to our estate festival. A whole weekend of pure Mosel, centered around wine, indulgence, and sociability.
After your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation by email with the exact payment information.
If these payment conditions are not met, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Please note that the experience is only valid with a minimum number of participants of 16 people.

By Car
Directly on the opposite side of the street from our wine store, paid parking spaces are available. At the machine on-site, you can obtain a free parking ticket for one hour. From 7:00 p.m., you can park there for free.
By Bus:
There are two bus stops in close proximity, each about 200 meters walking distance from our winery Birnfeld:
- Stop Ortsmitte Lieser
- Stop Alter Bahnhof
Both stops are served by line 340 of the Verkehrsverbund Region Trier (VRT).
Line 340 connects, among others, Wittlich, Platten, Osann, Noviand, Maring, Lieser (train station and town center), Kues, Bernkastel, Monzelfeld, Gonzerath, Wenigerath, and Morbach. It generally runs hourly until about 11:30 p.m. This makes Lieser very well-connected to Bernkastel-Kues, one of the most popular places along the Middle Moselle.
