Cultural tour "On the Trails of the Romans" Neumagen-Dhron
Experience antiquity up close with our knowledgeable cultural guide: a Roman fort, from which original walls are preserved, tombs that were embedded in its foundations: among them the world-famous wine ship of a wealthy wine merchant, which inspired the replica in the form of the Stella Noviomagi and shows how advanced thinking and building was already 2000 years ago.
Alongside Trier, Neumagen-Dhron is the most significant site of Roman remains. Due to the multitude and significance of the finds, the excavations in 1884 referred to Neumagen as the "Rhineland Pergamon." Among the most important finds is the world-famous Roman wine ship, a tomb of a wealthy wine merchant. Join one of the eight knowledgeable guides for a tour. Experience in Neumagen-Dhron a journey through a picture book of antiquity.
