As soon as the first “dominostones” are in the supermarkets, meaning right after the summer holidays, we are in Christmas mode.
The “thoughtful” time, filled with little presents from the horror shop and visits to Christmas markets, where we drink so much mulled wine that we find felt items beautiful.
The company Christmas party is usually an unpopular obligation until the first person sits on the copier.
The likelihood that the Advent wreath will cause no damage for 4 weeks is highly unlikely, and the tree leaves romantic traces on the real wood floor. Despite everything, we love Christmas, and that’s a good thing.
Sia Korthaus satirically and joyfully shows us the big and small obstacles we have to overcome before the longed-for holidays.
Christmas songs interpreted differently are just as much part of the program as Grandma Emmi, who takes the festival of love a bit too literally again.
Anyone who knows Sia knows that her programs, despite hearty comedy, also lack background and depth.
In the end, it still becomes thoughtful and everyone thinks:  “Ah, Christmas can be quite nice after all!”
