The trapper tents and the tipi showcase the life of trappers around 1830. It was a life full of hardships and challenges. The participants of the camp will gladly explain more to the interested visitors. How was the clothing made, how was the camp built?
Self-sufficiency in the wilderness was by no means a piece of cake. Cold, storms, and other natural forces, as well as dangerous situations with wild animals had to be dealt with. If one wanted to earn an income, one needed furs and had to hunt successfully.
The tools for this difficult everyday life will be displayed and gladly explained.
