St Martin in Brauneberg

The celebration to commemorate Saint Martin will take place on Saturday, 09 November 2024 at 17:30 in the Filzen monastery church.

The celebration to commemorate Saint Martin will take place on Saturday, 09 November 2024 at 17:30. All participating children and adults will meet in the monastery church in Filzen. Here, children will recite the story of St Martin. At 6.00 pm, the torchlight procession, accompanied by musicians from Brauneberg and Wintrich, heads to the municipal and tourist office in Nussbaumallee. The children receive their St Martin's pretzels at the St Martin's bonfire. Catering will be provided by the Brauneberg fire brigade support association. All citizens are of course cordially invited. Our thanks for this event, which reflects a very old custom, go to all those involved and helpers.
