Martin's parade in Brauneberg

The celebration in memory of Saint Martin takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 5:15 p.m.. All participating children, as well as the adults, will meet at the St. Josef Monastery Church in Filzen. Here, children will present the story of Martin.

The celebration will be accompanied by the village musicians from Brauneberg and Wintrich.

At 5:45 p.m., the torch parade will proceed to the community and tourist office on Nussbaumallee. At the Martin's fire, pretzels will be distributed. Guests will be served mulled wine and sausages by the support association of the volunteer fire department Filzen. The local community, the Catholic parish of St. Matthias, Right and Left of the Moselle, and the fire department warmly invite all children and residents to this traditional event to preserve the old customs.

The sale of Martin lottery tickets will begin on November 2.

The proceeds will benefit the youth fire department!

As prizes, vouchers from local businesses will be raffled.
