Mülheim Cultural Circle: Marco Tschirpke – empirically proven bread rolls

Marco Tschirpke live: Fine musical cabaret with clever lyrics, wordplay, and virtuosic piano playing.

Poems & Songs – precise, incisive, intelligent
Marco Tschirpke, winner of the German Small Arts Prize 2018, combines artful lyrics with fine piano cabaret in his program. His short, targeted texts are full of clever allusions to art and history, providing both an entertaining and intellectually stimulating experience. His humorous “kitchen poetry” is also not to be missed. An example: “FONDUE – that means: At round tables / collectively fishing in murky waters.”
As a virtuosic pianist, Tschirpke is also known for his playful lightness and surprising musical twists. His poetry collection Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Günther (2015) became a Spiegel bestseller.
“Very great, Mr. Tschirpke, very great!” – Horst Evers
