There are smells and scents that one never forgets in a lifetime and remain in memory along with memories. The exceptional clarinetist David Orlowsky is not only blessed with musical talent, but he also has the gift of connecting scents with sounds while composing.

Together with jazz musicians Daniel Stelter and Tommy Baldu, the clarinetist, who became famous with Klezmer music, invites us on a musically olfactory journey of discovery. His compositions have titles such as Petrichor, Limão, Marrakesh, Magnolia, and Lisboa – they transport us to squares of the Portuguese metropolis between a bakery and a fish shop or to a circus.

In the process, David Orlowsky lets the clarinet sing with a velvety tone, display virtuosity, and continuously find new possibilities of expression. Captivating!
