Experience ancient history up close with our knowledgeable cultural guide: a Roman fort, of which original walls are preserved, tombs set into its foundations: including the world-famous wine ship of a wealthy wine merchant, which inspired the replica in the form of the Stella Noviomagi and shows how advanced thinking and building were already 2000 years ago. Besides Trier, Neumagen-Dhron is the most significant site of Roman heritage. Due to the multitude and significance of the finds, they referred to Neumagen at the 1884 excavations as the "Rhenish Pergamon."
