“Oh Pannenbaum” — Cabaret with Sia Korthaus

As soon as the first “Dominoes” appear in the supermarkets—right after summer break— 
we’re in Christmas mode.
The “contemplative” season, filled with Secret Santa gifts from that little horror shop and visits to the Christmas market, 
where we drink so much mulled wine that we start to think felt decorations are beautiful.
The company Christmas party is usually an unwelcome obligation—until the first person sits on the copier.
The likelihood that the Advent wreath will cause no damage for four weeks is highly improbable, 
and the tree leaves romantic marks on the real wood parquet floor. 
Despite all that, we love Christmas, and that’s a good thing.
Sia Korthaus takes a satirical and lighthearted look at the obstacles—big and small—we have to overcome on our way to the long-awaited holidays.
Christmas carols with a twist are just as much a part of the show as Grandma Emmi, who once again takes the “festival of love” far too literally.
Anyone who knows Sia knows that, despite the hearty humor, her shows never lack substance and depth.
In the end, the mood turns contemplative, and everyone thinks, “Ah, Christmas can be quite lovely after all!”
