During our Eifel-Moselle bike tour you will discover different landscapes by bike. We start in the volcanic Eifel, where the famous maars and volcanoes are waiting for you. Over a railway line past historic viaducts and through former railway tunnels you cycle comfortably downhill into the magnificent Moselle valley.

Individual arrival at your hotel. Use the day to get to know the region Vulkaneifel better. The rental bikes are available for you in your accommodation on request. Maybe your first trip will lead you to Himmerod. Not far from Manderscheid, the 850 year old Cistercian abbey Himmerod is located in the Salmtal. As soon as you have passed through the gate to the abbey, you forget space and time. Let us surprise you. But also "per pedes" there is a lot to discover. For example, visit the Manderscheid castles - only the narrow Liesertal valley divides the two castles from each other, creating a unique ensemble of nature and culture. Here you can touch the Middle Ages! Or get information at the Maarmuseum Manderscheid. There the maars show you their transparent side.
Spectacular simulations show geological connections from new perspectives. A highlight in the exhibition is the large model of a maar, which can be walked on from the inside. Slowly let your first day of holiday come to an end with a delicious "Eifeler" dinner with fresh beer - also from the Eifel.
After breakfast, you can take the Maare-Moselle cycle path to the Bernkastel-Kues holiday region. Where trains used to puff and puff, you can now cycle along a former railway line 55 km long from the Vulkaneifel to the Moselle without traffic disruption. The route has an average gradient of 2.5% and is ideal for inexperienced cyclists and children, and provides a trouble-free enjoyment of nature. The romantic route leads over viaducts, countless bridges, through tunnels and a beautiful landscape. Once you have arrived in the Bernkastel-Kues holiday region, you can move into your accommodation. Remember the experiences of the day with a glass of Mosel Riesling.
Your next stage takes you through the "Kröver Nacktarsch" wine growing area to Traben- Trarbach. There you will find a wealth of fascinating buildings from the Art Nouveau and "Belle Epoque" periods. The Moselle cycle path continues on to Enkirch and through the "Zeller Schwarze Katz" wine-growing area to the holiday region of Cochem. Visit the picturesque town centre of Cochem, as well as the imperial castle from the 11th century.
The last section of the route takes you to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, the only city on the Moselle and Rhine. Nowhere else are the castles so close together, stories, sagas and witchcraft so dense as on your last day's stage to Koblenz - and nowhere else are the vineyards steeper than here. The idyllic wine villages invite you to take a break. In the afternoon you reach the city of Koblenz.
