Winter events
Even if it is a bit chilly outside, it is worth unpacking your winter jacket and strolling through the alleys of the town. In addition to the traditional Christmas market in the old town of Bernkastel-Kues, which takes place every year from the end of November to the end of December, there are also other nice events waiting for you in winter.

Enjoy nature
A hike through the fresh air is particularly appealing in the winter months, because then you can enjoy not only magnificent views but also peace & quiet. The perfect environment to simply switch off and leave everyday life behind. And if the weather is not so kind to you, we also have a selection of paths, most of which are on tarmac. For example the Sonneninselrundweg near Minheim.
Activities in Bernkastel-Kues & the region
Not only in summer, but also in the quiet winter months, there are various things to discover in and around Bernkastel-Kues. Whether it's a guided tour through the alleys of Bernkastel, a visit to one of the Christmas markets in the region, winter tobogganing fun on the Erbeskopf, about 30km away, Christmas hooping in the neighbouring towns or a visit to one of the many interesting museums - there's no chance of getting bored here.

Tips for bad weather
Especially in the winter months, the weather often does what it wants - so it's good to have tips for excursions that are independent of the weather. When you enjoy a glass of wine in the cosy wine cellar of the vinotheque or reminisce about your childhood in the historical toy museum, for example, the bad weather is quickly forgotten. The same goes for a hot cup of coffee or a typical Moselle speciality in one of the cosy restaurants and cafés.
