The local history museum "Graacher Tor", located directly in the old town, gives a vivid impression of the city's history.
The famous son of the town
The famous theologist Nikolaus Cusanus was born in Kues. The house where he grew up is nowadays used as a place for events and exhibitions. The St. Nikolaus-Hospital, which was founded by him, is used as a retirement-home. It is possible to visit the chapel of St. Nikolaus Hospital. The famous library can only be visited during a guided tour.
