On the edge of the well-known "Piesporter Goldtröpfchen" vineyard in the 1980s, remains of Roman wine presses from the 2nd and 4th centuries were found; the latter was restored true to the original.
Other finds such as the Diatret glass - a double-walled wine goblet cut from a single block - or the imperial brooch, a golden garment clip awarded by Emperor Constantine on the occasion of his 10th anniversary of his reign, can be found at the "Rheinisches Landesmuseum in Trier" (federal state museum of Trier).
