According to sources of the Sebastianus Brotherhood, the first church built here was demolished to its foundations in 1668 due to dilapidation. In its place - within only one year - a second parish church was built: today's "Old Church".
The round-arched portal of the tower bears the number 1669 and the keystone shows a cartouche, an ornamental frame with the electoral coat of arms. The Old Church was no longer able to cope with the constantly increasing number of faithful, so that it was sold and secularized in 1867 - after the construction of the parish church of St. Agatha.
