Kues offers several sights worth seeing, including the historical birthplace of Nikolaus of Cusa, St. Nicholas' Hospital - which dates back more than 500 years - with its valuable library, the banks of the Moselle that attracts walkers and cyclists, and the narrow streets of old Kues.
The "Weinkulturelle Zentrum" (Viticulture centre) offers a multimedia experience (wine museum) and vinotheque, where 150 varieties of wine and sparkling wine from the Middle Moselle are available to try. This, along with the numerous surrounding vineyards, make Kues the perfect place for a wine connoisseur's holiday on the Moselle valley.
The Moselle cycle path runs right along the banks of the river below Kues, and there are plenty of places to camp or park caravans close to the local port.
The "Open wine cellar days" in June and the "Moselauenfest" (similar to a wine and street festival) are just some of the highlights in Kues' calendar of events.
