The stage between Cochem and Löf surprises with its many castles. The cycle tour starts with a view of the majestic Reichsburg and leads along the left bank of the Moselle via Klotten and Pomerania first to the historic Moselle town of Treis-Karden. In Karden, the three-towered collegiate church of St. Castor, also known as the "Mosel Cathedral", invites you to make a stopover. It combines Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles and forms the heart of a monastery district with half-timbered houses well worth seeing. If you want to make a detour to the medieval castle of Eltz, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Germany, follow the cycle path on the left bank to Moselkern. From here, an approx. 4.5 km long path leads up to the castle. However, the main route of the Mosel-Radweg leads over the bridge over to Treis, from where the tour continues along the right bank. Via Tired and Castles you finally reach Brodenbach with Ehrenburg Castle enthroned on a steep rock spur. An approximately one-hour walk leads up to the mighty 12th century castle. A short stretch and a bridge crossing later, the destination of the stage in Löf is reached.
