Pure landscape and cultural experience: The second stage of the "Mosel-Radweg" leads along the right bank of the Moselle to the Moselle metropolis of Trier, some 25 kilometres away. It starts in the charming wine village of Nittel, which lies at the foot of high dolomite and limestone cliffs. Waves and temmels will finally take you to the municipality of Oberbillig, which is connected by ferry to the Luxembourg town of Wasserbillig. The journey continues on level paths to the town of Konz. With sights such as the Roscheider Hof Folklore and Open Air Museum or the remains of a Roman imperial villa, the town at the mouth of the Saar invites you to make an entertaining stopover. After a further 10 kilometres you will reach the destination of today's stage. The oldest town in Germany attracts visitors with its impressive, well-preserved Roman buildings, UNESCO World Heritage sites and baroque parks, among other things.
