With its picturesque half-timbered houses and sights such as the historic market square or the ruins of Landshut Castle, this gem on the Moselle is worth a visit all year round. In the run-up to Christmas, however, a visit is doubly worthwhile. Then the old town, with its pretty shops and cosy cafés, is aglow with lights, enticing visitors with Moselle mulled wine and stall magic.
Largest Advent calendar in the region
This year, no one will have to do without festively decorated Christmas stalls. From 19 November, visitors can once again enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere for a good four weeks and browse to their heart's content among traditional arts and crafts, jewellery, children's toys, nostalgic bric-a-brac and other pretty things. The smell of gingerbread and almonds wafts over the stalls, while tarte flambée, fried sausages, crêpes and the unmistakable red and white Moselle mulled wine tempt visitors to take a culinary break. The Adler pharmacy on the market square will once again be transformed into the "largest Advent calendar in the region". Every evening from 1 to 24 December, a window opens in the historic half-timbered house with a small Christmas artistic performance.

The winter highlights also include a romantic boat tour on the Moselle - with hot mulled wine and spicy Christmas biscuits.
