Directions
The hike starts near the old church in Wehlen and then takes you across the suspension bridge to the other side of the Moselle. The suspension bridge is the only one of its kind on the Moselle and was inaugurated in 1949. After arriving on the other side of the Moselle, you walk uphill along a small path into the vineyard. For the rest of the route, you will now hike in the middle of the vineyard past numerous insect hotels, life towers, information boards and flower vineyards. Again and again, exciting information about the animal and plant world awaits you. You can listen to the stories via the QR codes on the information pillars (only in German). Once you have reached the top of the vineyards, we recommend taking a break at the Wehlener Weinbergshütte. From up here you can enjoy a great view of the Moselle valley and the surrounding vineyards. From here you also have direct access to the well-known Moselsteig (stage 11) - which runs above the vineyards. Otherwise, you can now follow the circular route back to Wehlen.Public transit
