New Moselle mini chef group founded
Together with many players from the hotel and catering industry, the Bernkastel-Kues vacation region and the Moselle region of Traben-Trarbach Kröv are founding their own local group of Europe's successful mini chefs from the summer.

Children aged 10 to 12 from the Moselle region and neighboring regions can now secure a place with the European Mini Chefs Moselle. In well-known gastronomic establishments, the children can learn about the connection between health and nutrition, the appreciation of local food and its high-quality processing and, as real chefs, get a taste of the professions in the hotel and catering industry.
The Bernkastel-Kues Vocational School with its cook and restaurant specialist courses and the Mittelmosel Köcheverein e.V. chefs' association have been secured as supporters for all subject areas. "Health and nutrition are of immense importance," says Oliver Probst, specialist teacher at the vocational school, "the children learn improved nutritional behavior in a playful way." The mini chefs meet alternately in the restaurants Deinhard's in Bernkastel-Kues, Zeltinger Hof in Zeltingen-Rachtig, Moselschlösschen in Traben-Trarbach and Villa Melsheimer in Reil, all of which have been won as partners for the project.
