Holidaymakers on the Moselle will find the Kastanienhof Weingut Esseln in Kesten on the Moselle. For several generations, the steep slopes that characterise the landscape have been cultivated here at the Kesten wine farm - with passion. The ambition is to harmonise tradition with modern methods of production while treating nature with care. This results in a love of the Riesling grape variety, which thrives perfectly on the mineral slate soils and is vinified in all its facets. But varieties such as Rivaner, Kerner, Pinot Blanc and Bachus also have their place in the winery, depending on the soil and location.
