Historical wine cellar

Our historic wine cellar in the heart of Bernkastel is more than 400 years old. In former times in Bernkastel people digged for precious metal, also in this stud. Since this stud wasn't profitably it was shut down. Afterwards the stud was used as a wine cellar. During the world war it was used as an air-raid shelter as protection of the hail of bombs. Nowadays you can visit the cellar for free or enjoy a glass of wine at a special atmosphere.
