Fishing licences Wintrich

For the Moselle section between the Wintrich barrage (river kilometre 141) and the Zeltingen barrage (river kilometre 124), the Tourist Information Wintrich, Bergstraße 3 54487 Wintrich, phone: 0049 6534-8628, issues fishing permits.

Daily (8,00 €), weekly (19,00 €) and monthly (30,00 €) permits (as of 01.01.2023) plus 2,00 € fee. German nationals must present the fishing licence of their federal state. Foreign guests can obtain the fishing licence (photo, identity card or passport are required) from the Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Bernkastel-Kues, room 5, Gestade 18, 54470 Bernkastel-Kues.

Fish species: Pike, zander, perch, chub, barbel, bream, ide, carp, asp, roach, rudd, trout, eel and tench. Removal of catfish and gobies is compulsory!

Fishing is only permitted from the shore, with max. 2 rods. Night fishing (0.00 a.m. to 1 hour before sunrise) is not permitted on the Moselle. The spring closed season and the species closed season must be observed! The spring closed season lasts from 15 April to 31 May inclusive. (Does not apply to fishing with hand and trolling rods). Predatory fishing with appropriate gear (spinners, spoons, flies, soft plastic baits, dead bait fish or bait fish scraps) is not permitted during the spring closed season, with the exception of artificial flies.
