Doctor wine tour - group up to 10 people

A popular legend in the Moselle city says that in the 14th century the Trier Elector Boemund II became seriously ill with fever during a stay at Landshut Castle. No medicine helped and none of his famous doctors knew any advice. With a small cask of his best wine, an old vintner came to the Elector and told him that this wine was the best medicine. After drinking it, the Elector was cured. As a sign that this wine was "the true Doctor", the vineyard received the high distinction from the Elector to be called "Berncastel Doctor" from now on.
