The stage from Neef to Ediger-Eller is an eight-kilometre short stone's throw, but it's a tough one. You climb to the roof of the steepest vineyard in Europe - the Calmont. Via Beilstein, which is the highlight with its Carmelite church and half-timbered backdrop, you reach your destination Cochem with its historic old town.

On the shortest of the 24 stages, the Moselle trail today leads from Neef to Ediger-Eller. A short eight-kilometre stone's throw, but it's a tough one: We're climbing the steepest vineyard in Europe. For all sure-footed hikers, the tour can be combined with the famous Calmonter Klettersteig.
