Day trips by boat to Alf, Leiwen or Trier

The Middle Moselle cruise to Alf and back shows you the characteristic features of this region, passing towns and villages such as Zeltingen, Kröv, Trarbach, Briedel and Zell - including Riesling vineyards and historic buildings such as the Gräfenburg. Up the Moselle, on your trips to Leiwen or Trier, romantic Moselle villages such as Mülheim, Kesten or Minheim are strung together like pearls on a necklace. The rugged cliffs of the Moselloreley near Piesport are particularly worth seeing. Please note that if you start your trip in Bernkastel, you will not be able to return by boat but will have to use public transport, for example.

 

Alf - Bernkastel - Alf

Leiwen - Bernkastel - Leiwen

Up the Moselle, the boat sails past well-known wine villages such as Mülheim, Brauneberg and Neumagen-Dhron. The cliffs of the Brauneberg vineyards or the Moselloreley in Piesport and the wine presses from Roman times are impressive, there is also a lock passage and with a bit of luck you might even come across a Roman wine ship.

If you start the tour from Liewen, you will arrive in Bernkastel at 12 noon. After three hours ashore, the boat will take you back to Leiwen at 3 pm.

Trier - Bernkastel - Trier

Germany's oldest city is the destination of this cruise. On the way there, numerous old and well-known Moselle villages such as Piesport, Neumagen-Dhron, Trittenheim and Mehring spread out before you. The experience lasts around 4.5 hours and gives you a wonderful insight into the world of the Moselle cultural landscape.

If you start the boat tour from Trier, you will arrive in Bernkastel at 1.15 pm. There you will have just under 2 hours to discover the town and the boat will take you back to Trier at 3 pm.
