Exhibition at the museum: When art and humanity meet animal welfare
Colorful, playful animal portraits for a good cause – art, creativity, and animal welfare united at the Machern Monastery.
Since November 23, 2025, the artist Anke Neufing presents her colorful special exhibition at the Kloster Machern museum near Bernkastel-Kues.
When "Art" and "Being Human" meet "Animal Protection"...
With her works, she uniquely combines art and love for animals: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Tierheim Trier and the Verein Streunerkatzen VG Ruwer e. V.
Visitors can expect a lively mix of modern, colorful, and also Christmas-themed animal portraits that spread good cheer and delight both animal lovers and art enthusiasts.
After many painting animal lovers gathered for the first date at the museum, a second date is now being offered:
Special date for the whole family:
Saturday, December 13, 2025, 1:30 PM - 4 PM
Creative painting afternoon for children aged 6 to 66 – with colors, imagination, and lots of fun! Participation, including materials, is by donation to benefit animal protection. The number of participants is limited, so prior registration is requested at anke.neufing@outlook.com.
Duration of the exhibition:
Until December 30, 2025
The exhibition can be viewed in conjunction with a visit to the historical toy and icon museum in the former Cistercian convent "Kloster Machern." The barrier-free museum features in December:
