6 p.m.: Duo Reif - German Song Poetry - Achim Weinzen and Alvin Koster
Acoustic sounds in German with meaningful lyrics await the audience – reduced to the essentials yet full of atmosphere. The focus is on voice and guitar, creating an intimate closeness with sensitively arranged songs that offer plenty of room for smiling, reflection, and singing along. The melodies linger in the ear, the songs are sometimes delicate, sometimes driving, promising a sustainable auditory pleasure at a high textual and musical level as an acoustic duo.
8 p.m.: Thomas Blug – Rock Anarchy feat. Rick de Soto
Thomas Blug, the “Stratking of Europe,” and Rudi “Gulli” Spiller celebrate a furious time travel into the era of Classic Rock with their “Rock Anarchy.”
Over twenty different drummers continuously transform the duo into a power trio – the most puristic form of a rock band. Classic rock songs from several decades form the basis for improvisations at a top musical level. Joining Thomas Blug, a guitarist who has made a name for himself worldwide, and Rudi “Gulli” Spiller on bass, vocal microphone, and harmonica, are often international greats from the music scene. Musicians like Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Mick Rogers (Manfred Mann’s Earth Band), Tony Carey (Rainbow), Phil X (Bon Jovi), Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds), Bodo Schopf (Michael Schenker), Guthrie Govan, Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), Bernie Marsden, David Readman, and certainly fifty other artists regularly seek collaboration with this exceptional band to have fun together on stage. Each show of the “Rock Anarchy” is a unique concert experience, where they revive the raw energy and joy of playing of great bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and The Rolling Stones at their best times.
Rick de Soto will provide vocal support for the band that evening.
