The Moselle and vineyards characterise the landscape around Bernkastel-Kues. On a route of approx. 2 km, we walk along the nature trail "Lizard loves Riesling" through the vineyards above the town. Due to the Mediterranean climate, we find a lush flora and fauna alongside the vines in the slate-covered vineyards, some of which are very steep. Through nature and culture-related stories, children learn about the annual cycle of the vine, discover the connections between weather and growth and explore the biodiversity in the rows of vines and dry stone walls of the Moselle vineyards with all their senses.
