Reading with Horst Eckert
Thriller time at the Heilig-Geist Kirche with "Night of the Traitors" Horst Eckert, freelance journalist and author, is coming to the Heilig-Geist Kirche with his new thriller "Nacht der Verräter" (Night of the Traitors)
Eckert's new thriller will be published by Heyne-Verlag in September and the author himself will read from it in the Heilig-Geist Church in Bernkastel-Kues in October. This gem in the historic town centre is increasingly becoming a mecca for writers. Thrillers are very popular in 2024. Following Strobel's "Murder Finder", the focus is now on "Night of the Traitors" by Horst Eckert: "When your wife disappears without a trace and you realise how little you know her ... When your family plays a risky game and you have to decide who you stand by ... then it's the night of the traitors." Eckert, who worked for 15 years as a television reporter for WDR, VOX and RTL, among others, wrote his debut novel "Anna's Inheritance" in early 1994. Since then, he has also been a freelance writer and a very successful one at that. Die Welt writes about him: "Eckert has established himself as one of the great German crime writers. His police thrillers are popular and gripping."
