Jens Kommnick is a musician, arranger, composer, producer and freelance author and has been playing acoustic guitar for 45 years.

He is regarded as a leading exponent of Celtic fingerstyle who also knows how to incorporate other influences from classical music, jazz and rock into his delicate guitar sounds. His debut album "Siúnta" (© 2008) received outstanding international reviews, and radio stations in Germany and abroad play his music. His collaboration with Reinhard Mey made him even more popular and his solo album "Kommnick spielt Mey" (© 2011), released by EMI, received glowing reviews. In 2012, he was the first and only German in history to become "All Ireland Champion" with his guitar, both as a soloist and as an accompanist.
